What is Tarimatec

More than a deck board — a coordinated outdoor system.

Tarimatec is a Spanish manufacturer of architectural composite: decking, ventilated façade cladding, and louvre systems, made from a single material it calls Ecofiber-Stone. It is made in Europe by Plásticos Viters and specified by architects and hospitality groups across the Mediterranean. In Canada, it is distributed exclusively by Zinodeck.

Where most outdoor composite is a deck board and little else, Tarimatec is a coordinated envelope — the same material, the same colours, from the floor of a terrace to the screen that wraps it.

The material · Ecofiber-Stone

Three honest ingredients.

Tarimatec is not plastic lumber. Its Ecofiber-Stone composite is built from three things you can name: rice-husk fibre, crushed limestone, and PVC. The rice husk is a by-product of rice, not felled timber. The PVC itself is only 43% petroleum — the rest comes from common salt. The finished board is 100% recyclable.

That mineral content is what you feel underfoot: a surface that stays cooler in sun, holds its colour, and shrugs off water where wood-flour composites swell.

The system

One material. The whole outdoor envelope.

Deck, façade, screen and shade — colour-matched, from one manufacturer. The coordinated system Trex, TimberTech and Fiberon don't offer.

Decking

Hollow and solid boards in 31 tones across Chromatic, Wood and Ethnic — concealed aluminium sub-frame, Class 3 slip.

Cladding & façade

Ventilated façade and slat systems — Montblanc, Annapurna, Aris, Malibú — the same colours, carried vertically.

AXEL louvre

A rotating louvre that dials privacy and filtered light, and can be digitally printed. No US-composite equivalent.

Pergolas & shade

Coordinated slats and pergola elements that finish the outdoor room in the same material and finish.

Specifications & certifications

Specified where it's hardest to get right

Proven in the Mediterranean's most demanding hotels.

Sun, salt and a thousand guests a day are an unforgiving test. Tarimatec passes it on pool decks, rooftops and façades that must look immaculate every morning.

Tarimatec vs Trex

A different idea of composite.

Trex built the North American category — on recycled polyethylene and wood flour, sold as a deck board. Tarimatec comes at it from the other direction: a mineral-rich PVC composite engineered in Europe as a full architectural system, from deck to façade to louvre. Neither is “better” in the abstract; they are built for different briefs.

What is Tarimatec?
A Spanish manufacturer of composite decking, ventilated cladding and AXEL louvre systems, made from its Ecofiber-Stone composite — PVC, rice-husk fibre and crushed limestone. In Canada it is distributed exclusively by Zinodeck.
Is Tarimatec available in Canada?
Yes. Zinodeck is the exclusive Canadian distributor, with samples and project quotes shipped across Canada.
What is Tarimatec made of?
Ecofiber-Stone — rice-husk fibre, crushed limestone and PVC. The PVC is 43% petroleum-derived, the balance from common salt, and the board is 100% recyclable.
How is Tarimatec different from Trex?
Tarimatec is a mineral-rich PVC composite engineered in Europe as a full system — deck, cladding, louvre and pergola — where Trex is a recycled-polyethylene-and-wood-flour deck board made in the USA.
How much does Tarimatec cost in Canada?
Tarimatec is quoted per project. Order a sample first (from $5), or request a quote with your dimensions and colour and we'll price it in CAD.
Where is Tarimatec made?
In Spain (Valencia region), by Plásticos Viters — Made in Europe.
Is it slippery? Is it fire-rated?
It carries Class 3 slip resistance (UNE-ENV 12633) — the top pedestrian class — and a Euroclass Bfl-s1 reaction-to-fire rating (EN 13501-1). These are European classifications; for Canadian code data, contact us.
Is Tarimatec good quality?
It carries a Tecnalia-verified EPD, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, a 25-year warranty, and a hospitality track record including Nobu, Hard Rock, Iberostar and Meliá.
