Tarimatec specifications, certifications and downloads
Every number on this page is manufacturer test data, cited to the standard it was measured against. Where Canadian evaluation does not yet exist, we say so on the page rather than in a footnote.
Full specification
Tarimatec is a PVC-mineral composite: PVC, rice husk and limestone in a ratio of 100 to 50 to 40 parts. There is no wood flour and no timber in it, which is why the moisture and biological figures below look unlike those of a board made with wood fibre.

What we do and do not hold in Canada
The honest position
Tarimatec's test data is to European standards, measured in European laboratories. That data is real and it is verifiable, but a European Bfl-s1 classification is not the same test as a North American surface-burning characteristics rating and should not be presented as one.
- CAN/ULC S102 surface burning characteristics: not currently held.
- CCMC evaluation report: not currently held.
- European fire, slip, moisture, biological and environmental data: held, and available in full on request.
- Do not substitute Bfl-s1 for a Class A or Class B ASTM E84 rating in a submittal. State both systems plainly.
What that means for your project
For single-family terraces, balconies, pool surrounds, landscape decks and most commercial ground-level work, the European data set is what an authority having jurisdiction will normally accept alongside the manufacturer's declaration.
Where a project requires CAN/ULC S102 or a CCMC number, for example a multi-family balcony assembly, tell us at the enquiry stage. We will say plainly whether the specification can be supported today, and we are working with Tarimatec on Canadian testing.

Drawing-office resources
Deck CAD details
Four manufacturer detail sheets for the hollow deck: on pedestals, at the start profile, at the edge profile and at the fascia profile.
- Hollow deck on pedestals (PDF)
- Start profile detail (PDF)
- Edge and termination profile detail (PDF)
- Fascia termination detail (PDF)
DWG, STP and IGS versions of these details, and the 3D CAD objects for the aluminium joist and the stainless clip, are supplied on request.
BIM objects
Tarimatec publishes BIM objects on BIMobject. Pull the family straight into Revit or ArchiCAD rather than modelling the board yourself.
BIMobject is a third-party platform. Check the object date against the current datasheet before you rely on a dimension.
Manufacturer memorandum
The manufacturer's full technical memorandum for the deck range, including the drawings behind the details above. Spanish original, supplied as issued.
Cladding and louvre CAD details exist but are deliberately not published here: those product lines are not available in Canada.

Finish: Tecno (grooved), Nature (brushed) or Surco (grooved and brushed) as indicated. Colour: one of 31 from the Chromatic, Wood and Ethnic collections, as scheduled.
Part 3 — Execution
3.1 Examination
Verify that the substrate is sound, drains, and can receive anchors of the specified section and penetration. Do not begin until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected.
3.2 Preparation
Set out the substructure to fall so that water leaves the deck. Maintain a continuous ventilation path beneath the boards and behind the fascia. Do not seal the perimeter closed.
3.3 Installation, substructure
Aluminium joists at 350 mm centres maximum; 250 mm maximum in high-humidity or tropical exposure. Approximately 3.5 linear metres of joist per m2 on a regular rectangular layout. Where pedestals are used, minimum 600 mm between pedestal centres, with one base plot and two plot clips per support.
3.4 Installation, boards
Fix each board with a concealed clip at every crossing of board and joist: approximately 25 clips and 25 screws per m2, of which about 3 are start clips. No face fixing. Leave the expansion and end gaps given in the manufacturer's installation manual; do not close them. Cap all exposed ends of hollow boards.
3.5 Installation, perimeter
Close visible edges with the 180 x 10 mm fascia profile fixed to the substructure, not used as a structural edge. Close external angles with the 32 x 32 mm corner profile.
3.6 Cleaning and protection
Clean with warm water, mild detergent and a soft brush worked along the grain. Do not paint, stain, seal or coat the boards. Protect the finished deck from point loads and from metal snow tools in service.
