The board is a PVC-mineral composite — rice husk and limestone in PVC, with no wood flour. There is no organic fibre to swell, cup or feed mould at a cut end, and water uptake is under 0.6 % at 24 hours (EN 317). The failures that bring you back to a deck in year three are mostly moisture failures, and this board does not have the ingredient that causes them.
It is fixed on an aluminium sub-frame with concealed stainless clips, so nothing is face-screwed and nothing works loose. Tarimatec's 25-year manufacturer warranty — administered in Canada by Zinodeck — covers the board; it excludes weight overload, so the joist spacing below matters.

Aluminium joist A 30×50 at ≤ 350 mm centres. Roughly 25 clips per m². Anchors at ≤ 500 mm. Expansion gap 5, 6 or 10 mm depending on board length. On a treated wood sub-frame: 70×30 members, cross-joists ≤ 1,000 mm, and no PU foam under the deck.

Can I lay it over an existing wood frame?
Yes, if the frame meets the rule: 70×30 treated members, cross-joists at ≤ 1,000 mm, correct falls and ventilation underneath, and no PU foam. Where the frame is marginal, the aluminium sub-frame is the safer quote.
What spacing does the warranty need?
Joists at ≤ 350 mm centres for the standard board. The manufacturer warranty excludes weight overload, so spacing and the fixing schedule are what keep a claim valid — build to the manual.
How does it handle a Canadian winter?
It is a mineral-and-PVC board with very low water uptake, so freeze–thaw has little to work on, and it is shovel-safe. Tarimatec publishes no low-temperature rating, so we will not quote one — leave the expansion gaps the manual specifies and set falls properly.
Do you stock it?
No. Boards are imported to order from Plásticos Viters in Valencia — plan 8–12 weeks from a confirmed order. Samples ship from Vaughan in 5–10 business days.
Can I get trained on it?
Yes. Installer training runs through the trade programme, and we add trained contractors to the list we use when a homeowner asks us for someone in their city.
