Who makes Tarimatec

Tarimatec is made in Valencia, Spain by Plásticos Viters S.A., an extrusion company with more than 65 years in the business. The board is a PVC-mineral composite: PVC, rice husk and limestone in roughly 100:50:40 parts, which the manufacturer calls Ecofiber Stone Composite. It is not a wood-fibre composite and it is not a foamed cellular PVC plank. The rice husk is an agricultural by-product that would otherwise be burned, and per Tarimatec's EPD the process re-uses 33 per cent recovered composite.

That European origin is the source of both the strengths and the honest caveats. The test data is European: wet slip Class 3 / R11 to UNE-ENV 12633, water absorption of 0.59 per cent hollow and 0.38 per cent solid at 24 hours to UNE-EN 317, fire classification Bfl-s1 and Broof(t1) to UNE-EN 13501-1. Tarimatec holds no CAN/ULC S102 flame-spread test and no CCMC evaluation today.
